Archiving and Distribution of Personally Identifiable Data From Biomedical Projects

The Canadian Genome-Phenome Archive (CGA) provides a national service for the permanent archiving and distribution of personally identifiable genetic and phenotypic data, generated in Canada that results from Canadian biomedical research projects. The CGA only accepts data submissions for data that is generated in Canada. Data archived at CGA was collected from individuals whose consent agreements authorize data release only for specific research use to bona fide researchers. Strict protocols govern how information is managed, stored and distributed by the CGA project.

The CGA is part of the Pan-Canadian Genome library. The CGA Node is made possible through the collaboration with the Digital Research Alliance of Canada and CGEn - Canada’s national facility for genome sequencing and analysis.
